Mission: My mission, and everybody should have a mission is to encourage people to get out of their comfort zones and explore the possibility of retiring in the Philippines and becoming an expat living in the Philippines. I truly believe the Philippines has a lot to offer to both young and old and would make a great location for those thinking of retiring or as a base camp for traveling around South East Asia.
I will admit travel brings out the sense of adventure in me, in fact it was over ten years ago that I decide to pack up a few things and explore the possibility of retiring in the Philippines. I will admit the the main reason for even considering living in the Philippines was for my love of my Filipina wife but another big reason was the sense of adventure and freedom of starting a whole new life on the other side of the world.
Another plus for me about living in the Philippines is that fact that I have set up my home as a mini base camp which allows me to explore South East Asia. I have a bucket list of places in South East Asia that I want to visit but first I want to explore the Philippines. Philippine expat life does have its challenges but as time goes on, I have adopted the Philippines and consider it my home.
Yet in the year 2020, with the pandemic going on, travel has come to a complete stop and but I know it will eventually start up again. Then I can go back to working on my bucket list of countries I want to visit. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments
